I recently moved to Kingman Az, a couple of years ago. I can't seem to plant at proper times or at proper places. Example my trumpet vine died with our snowy winter, but my honeysuckle never lost its leaves or all its blooms. I would like to plant more vines and some fruit trees. What do I do?

Kingman doesn't fit the usual AZ gardening zones because you have hot summers and sometimes snow in the winter. The best reference is Sunset Western Garden Book, available at libraries, bookstores and garden centers. It considers elevation, proximity to mountains and bodies of water, and general climate to place you into a gardening zone and then recommends the best plants for those zones. I think you will find it very helpful. Best wishes with your garden!
