| Your fertilizer is time release which means that each little granule is encapsulated in biodegradeable material. So, the fertilizer will be released slowly over a period of months. Therefore, it is safe to rake the bare areas and overseed, then broadcast the fertilizer over the entire lawn. The grass will be up and growing before too much fertilizer is released.
