The Q&A Archives: Arborvitaes

Question: why are my trees dying after 6 years. They usualy start dying after an 100 degrees day. I lost 4 trees in my back yard.

Answer: I can't really diagnose the problem with your arborvitaes without inspecting them. If they look fine and then suddenly die, it is probably a root stress problem - one that the trees have been dealing with for a long time. Then, when the weather gets too hot, they simply cannot deal with the added stress. Wish I had more information to offer.
