WILL USING LIME ON MY LAWN HELP IN KEEPING MY DOGS URINE FROM KILLING THE GRASS? HOW MUCH LIME WOULD I USE AND WHEN IN THE YEAR DO I USE IT? THANKS! ANNETTE |
A dog's urine changes the pH of the soil after a while and lime can help correct that problem. The usual practice is to hose the area off and then sprinkle lime where your dog urinated. It won't hurt your lawn and it may help. It is hard to apply to much lime to a lawn so there are no recipes for applying it. Just sprinkle it on and it will work its way down into the soil and slowly change the pH. |
