The Q&A Archives: bahia grass

Question: I live in Central Florida and I would like to know if bahia grass would do good in my area or should i use the bermuda grass also wich one of these two would require less water and maintenance?

Answer: Bahia, centipede, St. Augustine and Bermuda grasses will all perform well in your gardening region. Of the 4, Bahia is probably the least demanding in terms of watering and mowing. All thrive on fertilizer so you would need to feed them during the growing season, but Bahia appears to take everything in stride. Hope this helps you decide which turfgrass to grow.
