I planted red apple ice plant on a slope 12 onths ago. Before planting I put down weed killer to kill all weeds. After they were all day I put done the cloth to prevent weeds growing. In spite of us I am having weed extensively, weekly, while the ice plan is filling in. I pull out the weeds or use roundup in spots safely away fromthe ice plant. is there anyhting i can do?

You should be able to apply a pre-emergent (such as Preen) in the bed of ice plants. Be sure to check the label - not all are safe to use on all plants. The botanical name of your red apple is Aptenia cordifolia. Be sure any pre-emergent you purchase lists Aptenia as a safe plant. Best wishes with your landscape!
