Will sweet peas grow in Central Texas (the hill country). When do you plant them if so?

You can grow sweetpeas in Texas but timing is everything. The best time to sow seeds is in the fall (when you plant spring blooming bulbs). This gives them an early start and they will flower before hot weather arrives. Or, you can plant them in January. But it is too late in the spring to sow the seeds this year. You can purchase your seeds now and store them in a cool, dark place for planting this fall.
