My red laceleaf Japanese Maple leafs out nicely, than about six to eight weeks later, the ends of the leaves dry, turn brown, and curl up.The leaves don't drop but just look unhealthy. Iv'e had it for years, it's in a semi shaded location, and gets enough water. HELP! The website is GREAT! Thank's D.B.

Laceleaf maple leaves are very sensitive to sunshine and will turn crispy brown when they get too much. If you can move your tree to a full shade location, or one that gets only a few hours of morning sun, it will not develop crispy leaves. If relocating the tree is not an option, perhaps you can place a trellis with a vining plant near the tree to help shade it from afternoon sunshine. Hope this works for you!
