I want to buy a dwaft peach tree, do I need two for cross pollination or can I get away with one, I have one apple tree that bears fruit because of a orchard down the street |
In general, most peach trees are self-fertile. However, if you plant two different varieties you will get a larger yield. If you have room, plant a second peach tree. If not, perhaps a neighbor is already growing one and your peach tree can benefit from cross-pollination from a neighboring peach tree. Best wishes with your backyard orchard! |
