The Q&A Archives: Agapanthus (Lily of the Nile)

Question: Can Lily of the Nile by planted with success in Fort Worth, TX? I am worried about the extremes of heat and cold.

Answer: Agapanthus is frost tender so it won't grow in a permanent spot in your garden but you can grow it in containers and take it indoors over the winter months. Otherwise, just consider it an annual and plan to replace it each spring.

Good luck with your garden!
