My hibiscuses are in dreadful shape! I have seen some mealybugs on the leaves and the leaves and flowers are reduced in size and somewhat shriveled. What should I do???

Since it is early in the season, you should be able to prune the hibiscus back by at least one third and then try to hose off the mealybugs. Usually a strong stream of spray from the hose will dislodge them. Or, you can spray them with Insecticidal Soap. You may need to make repeated sprays to completely eliminate the pests. Good luck with your hibiscuses!
