The Q&A Archives: oleander fungus?

Question: My yellow oleander has what appears to be a white fungus growing on it bark. What is it and how do I fix the problem?

Answer: A fungus can develop on oleanders when they are over watered or if water sits around the plants at ground level. You can use a fungicide such as Daconil to kill the fungus, but you will also want to address the water problem to avoid fungal growth in the future.
