The Q&A Archives: cutting back st.Johns wart

Question: I have a bank with st johns wart on it. I cut it back every Spring and it does not bloom very much. Is this the time to trim it. I like the dark color it turns in the fall. Thanks

Answer: If you wait until after your St. John's Wort blooms and prune it back in late summer or early fall, you won't lose so many flowers. Timing is everything!
