The Q&A Archives: hydrangias

Question: Should Hydrangias ever be pruned and if so when?

Answer: Hydrangeas can be pruned on an annual basis to keep their size under control. You can prune them back in the early spring, cutting everything down to 18-24". New growth will develop from the canes and each new stem should produce a flower. Enjoy!
