The Q&A Archives: Dead or hopeful

Question: Last year I purchased several Sweet Broom plants. Right now, they are looking pretty brown. Is there hope they will come back, or should I dig them up and have a decent burial? I have heard they are evergreen. True?

Answer: Sweet broom is considered an annual in VA although they sometimes overwinter. I would dig and replace the plants. Best wishes with your garden!
