The landscape lights can damage my shrubs? - Knowledgebase Question

I bought a kit of malibu 50w flood light and i used for lighting my trees and shrubs i have:2 dwarf spiral tree,bloodgood japanese maple,pink spires flowering crabapple, and a fairview maple.My spiral spruce star going like dry or something is turning brown but only in were receive the light and in the back (i mean were don't receive light) it's in good conditions.

If the bulbs are close enough to the plants to cause them to overheat, the lights could cause damage. Flood lights should not be left on all night long, nor should they be placed too close to the plants, or directed onto plants for extended periods of time. If you suspect the lights are causing problems, move them away from the plants and turn them off after using them for a few hours. You might turn them on at dusk and then turn them off at 8 or 9 o'clock at night. Good luck with your plants!
