Is it too late to do a container garden? I would like to grow some herbs and veggies this spring but I rent my home and so I can't garden directly into the ground.

March is an excellent time to grow snapbeans, lima beans, eggplants, lettuce, cucumbers, squash, corn, cantaloupes, tomato plants, pumpkins, and watermelons so you're not to late to get your garden started. Most vegetables and herbs will adapt to growing in containers. For the larger, more sprawling vegetable plants, you can construct a temporary trellis for them to climb on, or let them sprawl on the ground as they mature. Enjoy your garden!
