Some of the branches on my pine trees are turning brown. What is the problem and is it any thing that I can do?

Pines can become hosts to insects and can develop diseases but because I can't physically examine the tree, I can't say for certain what the problem might be. Check your pine for signs of insects or symptoms of diseases. Or, take a sample of the problem to your local Cooperative Extension office or well staffed nursery. Helpful folks there may be able to determine just what the problem is and how to control or treat it. Good luck with your pines!
