There are both pre emergent and post emergent weed killers available and the one you use will depend upon your turfgrass type and whether or not the weeds have already sprouted. A good pre emergent is the corn gluten based Concern. A post emergent will depend upon which weeds you are trying to control and what your lawn type is. Read the product labels to make sure the targeted weeds and your turf type are both listed on the label, then apply according to label directions.
