The Q&A Archives: veggie garden

Question: my veggie garden is loaded with weeds. In the spring how can they be prevented from growing without affecting young veggie plants

Answer: Hand pulling, rototilling, or covering them over with several thicknesses of newspaper or cardboard to smother the weeds and suppress additional weed growth are all acceptable ways of reducing weeds in a vegetable garden.
