If you are referring to Miracle Grow Flower and Vegetable fertilizer, you can use it, but since it is easy to overfeed plants in containers you will want to be very careful in the amount you actually apply. If this is the case, you can safely mix one teaspoon into 5 gallons of water and water your plants with this mixture.

If you are referring to Miracle Gro top soil or potting soil, there's no reason you cannot use it in containers. Mix the top soil with an equal amount of potting soil and fill your planting containers.Hope this clarifies things for you!
