I really like the book 'Xeriscape Gardening: Water Conservation for the American Landscape', by Connie Ellefson et al. (Macmillan, 1992) -- lots of "how-to" and plant recommendations

I also like 'Native Texas Plants' and 'Native Texas Gardens: Maximum Beauty, Minimum Upkeep', by Sally Wasowski (Gulf Publishing Co., PO Box 2608 Houston, TX 77252; 1997)

You might also try contacting the National Xeriscape Council, PO Box 767936, Roswell, GA 30076.

The Texas Master Gardener's web site may also have useful information: http://leviathan.tamu.edu:70/1...
