Those Crocus that are growing in my lawn are eaten almost as soon as they pop up. Some one suggested I spray a mixture of hot pepper sauce on the crocus, but I don't have the formula. I would appreciate any suggestions. I've seen bunnies, woodchucks, chipmonks and moles or voles. They call it their Spring banquet. Thanks |
You really can't blame the local wildlife from bellying up to your banquet! I'm sure it is irresistable after a long winter of slim pickings! Here's a homemade deterrent for you to try: 4 tablespoons of powdered mustard; 3 tablespoons of Cayenne Pepper; 2 tablespoons chili powder mixed into 2 quarts of warm water. Spray on the plants you want to protect. Hope it works for you! |
