What are your suggestions for flowers and/or plants that can take a lot of sun? I want something that has color.

Some colorful perennials for your gardening region include Beach Sunflower, Blackberry Lily (Belamcanda chinensis), Blue Daze (Evolvulus glomerata 'Blue Daze'), African Bush Daisy (Euryops pectinatus), Cigar Flower (Cuphea micropetala), Coral Plant (Russelia equisetiformis), Gaura (Gaura lindheimeri), Gerbera Daisy (Gerbera jamesonii), Golden Shrimp Plant (Pachystachys lutea), and Shrimp plant.
