We have an invisible fence for our dog. Living on a dead end streat, there is a lot of traffic misdirected. The dog has worn a path in our lawn. What to do other than put objects on that path so the dog can't run on the muddy path?

For immediate improvement there's not much you can do other than replace the dead and muddy areas with sod. If your dog is going to use the same path to pace the property line you might want to completely replace the lawn with a groundcover that takes foot traffic, or put in some hardscape such as flagstones.
