Your hybrid bermuda lawn requires nitrogen to help keep it green. In April you can apply 1 to 1.5 pounds of nitrogen per 1,000 sq. ft. and feed again in June. I would hand dig the weeds for now and use a pre-emergent herbicide on the lawn next February. There are several available, include a corn gluten based herbicide (Concern Weed Prevention Plus) which will also provide some nitrogen to your turn. Best wishes with your new landscape!
