I have a few rose bushes in my yard, climbers, and was wondering what kinds of products can I use to get rid of those little wormy-looking bugs? I have tried a few sprays and used them exactly as prescribed on the label but everything kills the plants and not the bugs.

Those little rose bud worms can be controlled with the botanical Bt (bacillus thuringensis). It's harmless to other insects, people and pets and it works really well against caterpillars. It is sold under many brandnames - Dipel is one brand.
