What do you suggest as a taller shrub to put as a backdrop behind my sunny perennial garden? I see this garden out my kitchen window at a distance of about30 feet.

If you want an evergreen shrub, plant a yew or a holly. If you would rather have a flowering shrub, consider planting hydrangeas, roses, Japanese spirea, rose-of-Sharon, potentilla, or mock orange. Enjoy!
