I tried planting pumpkins last summer and was unsuccessful. I planted the seeds in a pot and then transplanted the plants into the ground. I got buds on the plants but then they all died. I would like to try again this year. help???

Pumpkins do not transplant well, as you have discovered. Try planting them in a sunny spot, placing 2-3 seeds in each planting hole. To make sure there's good drainage, mound some soil up into a basketball sized hill and plant your seeds on top. They should grow well for you. Best wishes with your pumplins!
