It is now early spring and I would like to know how short to cut back my knockout roses. Thank you

It is never too late (or too early) to prune knockout roses! Pruning encourages new growth so trimming everything back a bit in the spring will result in lots of new stems and branches, and more flowers. Now is a perfect time to prune! You can remove up to two thirds of the plant and it won't mind a bit.
