what's up with growing veggie plant upside down hanging? what veggies work well, and does Home Depot sell the kits? |
You can purchase or make a hanging bag out of weed barrier material. Fill it with potting soil, cut slits in it to plant, then water it well. The plants will start out growing downward then begin growing upward toward the sun. The weight of the fruit makes the branches hang down while the tips of the stems will grow up. You can use a vining plant such as cucumber or summer squash but tomatoes are especially adaptable to growing upside down. Enjoy! |
