fix lawn after plowing has driven over it.when is the best time like wet or when it is dry to rake out the dirt from tire takes? |
Wait until the soil dries out a bit before trying to repair the damage. If you work wet soil it will end up terribly compacted and it will be difficult to get your lawn to grow back in those areas. Start by shoveling the dirt back into the trenches made by the tires, tamping it down as you go and then raking it smooth. Once that's done, broadcast grass seeds over the bare soil and cover the seeds with a thin layer of peat moss, both to keep the seeds moist and to keep birds from feasting on the grass seeds. The grass should sprout in 10-14 days and ready to mow about two weeks after that. |
