I have slabs of slate with mondo grass planted in between slate. In August the heat from the slate kills off most of the grass. Is there anything I can do to prevent the burning of the grass. Thank you Barbara |
The full sunshine and radiated/reflected heat from the slate will make growing any plant difficult. Mondo grass is one of the toughest, but it can suffer from the heat. Buffalo grass might be an option, or wooly thyme between the slabs. Try planting either in one small area to see if they will perform better than the mondo grass. Hope so! |
