I have a 10'x20' slight hill with direct sun in the front of my house. How much groundcover do I need and which kind do you recommend? |
There are a myriad of possibilities to consider. You can grow vines like vinca minor or pachysandra, or low-growing ground cover shrubs like creeping junipers or cottoneaster. You have 200 square feet of gardening space and the amount of plants you will need will depend upon the plant you get and how closely you space them. The closer you space, the faster the area will fill in. Plan on no more than 6 inches between plants and set them in a checkerboard fashion for fastest fill in. Spacing them this far apart means you will only need about 8 flats of groundcover material. |
