i'm going to keep this palm tree in the house but we have a bird that mite try to eat it will a mexican palm hurt him? i don't want anything to happen to him?

I don't think the palm fronds will hurt your bird. Generally they just like to pull the leaves apart - they don't usually eat them. Your palm fronds may look shredded but it should not hurt your bird or your palm.
