Question: I want the bushes/shrubs planted in the front yard, against the house. I really want the shurbs to be very full & thick from the ground up, also the type that can be shaped rounded like?

Answer: Here are a few suggestions: Arborvitae 'Berkman's Golden', grows Size: 5-6' H x 3-4', features: Bright golden evergreen foliage all year. Arborvitae 'Emerald Green', grows 10-15' H x 4-5' W , has a conical shape. Boxwood 'Wintergreen' grows 4-5' H x 4-5' W . Has handsome dark green foliage and sheers well into various shapes.
Boxwood 'Harlandi Dwarf' grows 2-3' H x 2-3' W - Can be maintained at 18" H x 18" W
Handsome dark green foliage sheers well to form low hedge. This boxwood has shown itself to be very hardy in our area. Pittosporum 'Variegated' grows 5-6' H x 6'+ W
Very soft textured shrub with appealing variegated dusty grey-green and white foliage. Useful in foundation plantings under higher windows or in corners, grouped in islands, or as a low maintenance hedge.
