The Q&A Archives: Transplant Dwarf Alberta Spruce

Question: Is it too late in the season to transplant a Dwarf Alberta Spruce. The shrub is about 4 feet tall, and has been in it's current location approx. 4 years.

Answer: Both spring and fall are good times to dig and transplant landscape trees and shrubs. I'd do it now so the spruce has several weeks to re-establish its root system before hot weather arrives. Best wishes with the move!
