we built a new home and have lots of woods surrounding the home. we planted grass seed and we noticed a lot of turkeys eating the seeds. any way to keep them away |
After seeding, spread a layer of compost over the seeds and water it down well. Sometimes if you can hide the seeds, birds won't feast on them. Or, you might try temporarily fencing the newly seeded lawn. I've used chicken wire attached to stakes to protect newly seeded areas from chickens and it worked well. |
