| After powerwashing my deck how should I fill in the large cracks that don't appear to be harmful to the structure- yet need attention before doing so. Should wood putty or dough be filled in before staining and sealing? |
| Water based wood putty can be used to seal the cracks but it won't always accept stain. Sometimes it comes in colors though so you might be able to match your stain. Check with the staff at your local Home Depot for available products. There may be something new on the market! |
