We have 2 - 4 huge raccoons. I'm trying to raise vegetables & fruit trees. Last year they ate ALL the peaches. I bought a humane trap and tried all the usual foods for raccoons, but no success. What's the best way to trap them? Where to place it? (The Pasadena Humane Society will pick up & relocate).

Usually there is a wildlife control agency within each county government and they can offer assistance. Trapping raccoons is really a job for professionals but your local cooperative extension office may be able to help you locate traps. Contact them at: UC Cooperative Extension, Los Angeles County, 4800 E. Cesar E. Chavez Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90022 Phone: (323) 260-2267. Hope they can help!
