I can't seem to find any information on Euphorbia amygdaloides "Pupurea" (wood spurge). What can you tell me about this plant? |
Euphorbia amygdaloides is a clumping evergreen perennial that grows to nearly 3 feet tall. Its foliage is heavily tinted with purple, with a bright green inflorescence. It tolerates shade and competition from tree roots, and is drought tolerant. What is called "flower" is really a group of colored bracts. The color holds until the seeds ripen, then the stalks begin to yellow and should be cut down to the base of the plant. You can propagate the plant by seed or division. |
