Protecting Bulbs - Knowledgebase Question

I planted new bulbs in the fall, the flowers aren't up yet, but all the leaves are eaten to the ground, what can i do? it's hydrengeas, tulips, lilys. i'm in nj. thanks

How disappointing! Since you don't know which critters are munching on your plants the best control is to put temporary cages over them until they grow large enough to fend for themselves. It won't look especially attractive, but at least your plants will have a fighting chance to grow to maturity!
