My tree (bush) is through blooming and now has green leaves, when should I prune to begin the tree trunk process, and when should I fertilize?

You can prune now that the flowering is finished. To encourage a single trunk, choose the thickest, most upright stem and remove all others. You can feed your tulip tree each spring, in amounts as suggested on the ferilizer label. Good luck with your tulip tree!
