we have a problem with the deer eating our azealas, and some of the other bushes. we put irish spring soap on the bushes witch helps alittle but they still come up to the house and feed. Any suggestions on what else we could plant that they don't like to eat |
There are lists and lists of deer resistant plants but to be honest, hungry deer will eat just about anything. As the deer population rises, the competition for food gets greater and no plant is safe from their nibbling. We have had good results with a deer repellant called Deer Away. It has an odor the deer don't like so they usually pass up plants that we've sprayed with Deer Away. The downside is that you will have to reapply it after a rain. Good luck with your landscape! |
