I bought ALOT of impatients under the impression they were a full sun plant and after getting home and reading I have discovered they actually prefer partial sun. If I plant them in almost full sun will they still thrive? Thanks!!

The only sun tolerant impatiens are called New Guinea Impatiens but in Texas they would also need protection from the hot afternoon sunshine. How about planting your impatiens in pots and setting them in shady spots or even in hanging baskets from the limbs of your trees?
