| I am new to gardening and have two hydrangea bushes. Am I supposed to cut them back after they are done blooming for winter or leave them alone? I did not cut them back this time, so what can I do to promote new growth? |
| Hydrangeas flower on new growth so you will want to prune your plants back to encourage as much new growth as possible. You can cut your plants down to 2-3 feet above ground level. Each stem will develop lots of new stems and you will have lots of new flowers later this year. You can cut them back every spring. Enjoy! |
