I recently purchased two Burgundy Rubber Plants. I am considering planting them outside on each side of my garage. I am looking for information on how big they grow and how to care for them, also if planting them on the side (infront) of my garage is a good idea? *I choose house plants as the category because this is what I was told at the store they were. |
Your new plants are perfectly adaptable to growing outdoors in your gardening region. They will grow in part shade to full sun and if planted in the ground can grow to 100'. Obviously you won't want them to get that big so the good news is that they take well to pruning and you can keep them much smaller. They grow in all kinds of soils and prefer to have regular, deep waterings. The roots are sometimes considered invasive so you may want to consider growing them in containers so the roots don't overtake your yard. Keeping them in containers will also help you control their size. |
