Our lawn is a muddy mess. We have planted grass seed before but it doesn't grow. The squirrels dig it up all the time. |
The best course of action is to put your lawn on a regular maintenance schedule so it will grow lush and thick. Start by raking the entire area and overseeding the whole lawn. Water deeply once or twice a week and mow as often as necessary to keep your lawn at about 2 inches in height. Feed in April, June, September and late November with a 3-1-2 ratio of NPK (the 3 numbers on the fertilizer package) and by mid-summer your lawn should be nice and thick. Enjoy! |
