Can I trim my 12 foot tall burning bushes now? If not when? And how far back can I trim them? Thank you.

You can prune your burning bush in spring and it will encourage healthy new growth. The general rule about pruning is to take no more than one-third of the live growth off a shrub in any one pruning session. So, a 10 foot tall shrub can be cut back by about 36". If you need to reduce the size more than this, wait until next spring and trim back by another 3'. Good luck with your landscape!
