| we have this simple house of rectangular in shape facing the road, with the stoop in the center of the rectangle shape.with the tree in front of the house, how we will do the landscaping?we have all the flowers and shrubs, we just don't know the simple way to do it. we're short of financing, that's why we do the landscaping ourselves. | Putting together an attractive landscape isn't too difficult. Since you already have the plants, the best starting point is to become familiar with them. If there are tags on the plants, check to see whether they prefer sun or shade, and how large you can expect them to get. Be sure to space the plants so they all have ample room to grow. Set the tallest plants toward the backs of your flower gardens and the shortest toward the front. Then you can test your design by setting the plants out in the yard and seeing if you like where they are planted. It's much easier to move plants around while they are still in their containers! Once you've decided which plant will go where, work the soil with some organic matter such as compost so the plant's roots will have a nice place to explore. Plant everything at the same soil level as it was growing in the container, water well, and enjoy your new landscape! |
